System and spares enquiry scope

The ECS 360 psi and Fluoro-K documents differ in agents, cylinders, actuation and approval language. Provide an existing-system nameplate or project specification to avoid transferring values across platforms.

Fluoro-K · ECS-500 / ADS

K-45-001 Rev AA (April 2023) illustrates ECS-500 and ADS components and arrangements. The ADS nitrogen-driver pressure must remain separate from the agent-cylinder pressure.

ECS 360 psi

SSK-100 (February 2018) describes the ECS 360 psi system. Agent names and approval labels printed in the brochure are not evidence of current supply or a valid certificate for a particular vessel.

Applications

Enquiries may concern spares for an existing system, equipment renewal or a project requirement. Define the protected area, existing system and vessel requirements first; general applications in a brochure do not establish marine suitability.

Selection inputs

Provide exact models, cylinder or component nameplates, quantities, existing system family, protected area and control-interface requirements. Check ECS 360 psi, ECS-500 and ADS specifications and components separately.

INTERFACES

Controls and interfaces

Release-control-unit compatibility requires Kidde and agency listing review. Detection and alarm interfaces on a vessel are a separate boundary from suppression release control; compatibility cannot be assumed.

Approvals and project conditions

Product configuration, marine applicability, approval scope and compatibility are confirmed on a project-specific basis. Check applicable models and valid documents; product literature does not replace project approval.

Page 4 of the Fluoro-K brochure mentions cylinder straps for marine applications. This is an installation instruction, not a marine approval certificate.

The manufacturer literature calls for trained, authorized distributors for design, installation, maintenance and service. This page does not claim that KIRIAST holds that authorization.
